Technical Manager Molding / China (Expatriate)-Shanghai

Our client is a leading supplier to the automotive industry. We are exclusively assigned to identify a high caliber candidate for the position of:
Technical Manager Molding / China (Expatriate)

Responsibilities: – Build up a global technical expert team and knowledge pool of injection technologies – Guide and support the innovation activities and patents evaluation – Lead the engineering team and oversee the performance and output of the department – Participate in the acquisition phase as technical expert and provide technical input in concepts for coming projects – Ensure implementation of technical policies during development phase, conduct product and process development reviews – Problem solving of technical issues on molding processes – Implement technical assessment file (TAF) into workshops’ operation – Continuously improve the existing standards and develop new ones – Provide technical trainings and develop new training concepts – Report to China GM and Global Engineering Director in HQ

Requirements: – Master degree in engineering with a specialization in plastic injection – At least 10 years experience in manufacturing/engineering or operations in the automotive industry preferable with interior components – Experience in leading large teams – Analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and excellent communication skills – Well organized, result and performance driven – Excellent English skills, German would be an asset – Ability to work in a matrix organization with direct report to HQ – Former work experience in China preferred
