Your tasks:
The implementation of the Controller Area Network (CAN) constitutes a special part of the software of a control unit, as this ensures communication to other control units and to the diagnostics tester for the cyclic communication and the overlying protocols, such as the UDS protocol on ISO-TP. Furthermore, the targeted changeovers of the control units from and into the BUS sleep mode are realized via CAN using Network Management (NM). Therefore, the CAN software module is the basis of every control unit.

You will be responsible for the execution of CAN conformity tests on control units. You will check the implementation of the standard software delivered by the OEM into the control unit to be tested and compare with the underlying specifications. You will be supported during the execution of the test by a fully automated testing environment. You will also expertly carry out the assessments. For the qualified analysis of the recorded measuring results, advanced knowledge of the CAN, NM, as well as transport protocols TP 2.0 and/or ISO-TP is necessary. After the test, you will communicate the results to the supplier or the person responsible for the component and will be available for questions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for problem tracking and generation of reports.

Your skills:
Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, informatics, mechanical engineering, or a successfully completed further training to state certified electrical technician with adequate job experience (diagnostics, automotive electronics). Advanced knowledge of CAN

  • At least 2 years of job experience in E/E networking
  • Knowledge of the transport protocols ISO-TP and TP 2.0
  • Knowledge of network management
  • Knowledge in CANOe
  • Competent handling of the VAG-Tester
  • Basic knowledge of networked systems
  • Proficient in German, Chinese and English are advantageous
  • Customer orientation, teamwork skills and ability to work independently
    An on the job training of approximately 20 weeks will take place at our development center in Gifhorn, Germany.
