Anne Thiesen Ltd. is providing Executive Search and selection of specialists for multinational clients. For our client HeyTex, a leading German manufacturer of PVC laminated and coated technical textiles,
we are seeking suitable candidates to fill a chemical-engineering oriented Technical Manager position for its wholly owned subsidiary in Zhangjiagang (Jiangsu Province). It is a newly created position and immediately available.

Responsibilities:
• To analyze and improve the technical and production performance of the plant
• Strong understanding on the product specifications in order to be able to work closely with the production teams and their quality functions to ensure that the product specifications are in line with the customers’ expectations
• Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
• Supports Heytex with development issues (e.g. chemical formulation)
• Compete in the market on quality, productivity, reliability and reputation
• Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures (e.g. to implement standard operating procedures from Germany’s plants and implementation of quality methods)
• Directing testing and specifying of purchased goods and communication to German purchasing department in order to improve the purchase power of Bramsche in China and vice versa
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE / EXPERIENCE
• Has a chemical background and is chemistry or chemical-engineering oriented
• Has knowledge about Heytex’ raw materials and about the process
• Has plastic industry and actual production experience (knowledge of different kinds of plastic)
• Knowledge and/or experience in mechanical production aspects an added advantage
• Is Asian or European or gained applicable experience in Asia to take over this position
• Language skills: Fluent Mandarin and either fluent in German or English is a must
