Summary
Masterflex is seeking an experienced and energetic Sales Manager to join an organization
that is leading a rapidly growing industry. Reporting to the Asia-Pacific President,
the new Sales Manager will help establish our new China organization and will be
responsible for developing and executing a winning business strategy for Masterflex´s high-tech hoses in many various markets, such as the industrial market, machinery manufacturing, medical markets and many customized solutions and projects. The candidate will refine our business strategy in China including the selection of additional key distribution partners.
The ideal candidate will have: 3 - 5 years experience in developing a successful organziation
within the industrial products space, proven ability to recruit, manage and expand dedicated sales and
technical staff for continued and sustainable revenue growth. In addition having experience in
successfully managing a distributor sales network is required.
This role involves developing new and existing sales opportunities in China, including recruitment of new sales representatives, pre-and-post sales technical support as well as driving end user sales in the industrial market.
Core Responsibilities
• Achieve sales revenue and gross margin dollar plans
• Define and execute a winning strategic business plan for Masterflex in China
• Individual sales contributor capable of closing high complex sales
• Help recruit, hire and manage a small sales team and to support the growing number of active customers.
• Help select and effectively manage a distributor sales network
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and technologies
• Develop a clear understanding of competitors, their priorities and their competitive strengths in the hightech hoses market
Required Experience / Skills:
• Demonstrated successful execution of sales of early market high technology products
• Chinese native speaker (Fluent in English and/or German)
• Demonstrated successful market development promoting new technologies and high end products
• Demonstrated successful leadership and mentoring skills to develop a successful sales team
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills
Qualification:
University degree desirable
Desired Experience / Skills:
• Successful track record in industrial product sales
• 3 -5 years experience in sales management having effectively led sales teams to achieve sales targets and corporate objectives
• Sales experience with industrial products
Travel Requirements:
Requires 50%+ travel in China with occasional trips to Masterflex headquarters or regional headquarters.
Location:
Greater Shanghai area, China (to be determined)
