Assistant Teacher Intern

Daily tasks:
- The intern will support the class lead teacher in delivering the school curriculum using English as a spoken language by learning through play. The daily tasks will include:
- Ensuring anti–discriminatory and anti-bias approach to both children and adults in the class
- Participating in the classroom including working towards the aims of the curriculum activities
- Participating in the bi-lingual aspect of the curriculum in the classroom
- Working effectively in partnership with parents of children in the class
- Helping to ensure that the class environment is inclusive, enabling and free of discrimination for adults and children in all aspects of the curriculum
- Being part of a Class Team in assisting the school ethos
- Attending planning and curriculum implementation meetings as appropriate
- Assisting in the effective daily running, resourcing and organization of the classroom
- Being managed by the Class Teacher to ensure best practice for the children
- Assisting that English is planned in the context of the Windsor curriculum
- Helping to ensure that Health and Safety standards in class and are maintained
- Supporting the teachers in partnership with parents and planning of some activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare is strongly preferred
- Background in Education and/or teaching English certificate
- Fluent English
- Excellent writing skills in English
- Chinese is a plus
- Self-confident and independent as well as patient and creative personality
