As an Assistant Manager Purchasing Raw Material you will be responsible for the development of strategic raw material sourcing concepts for localized cars. Furthermore you will realize the agreed raw material localization program within Asia as well as knowledge management to achieve a full market overview.

Key responsibilities

• Design of strategic sourcing concepts for selected model lines to develop a localization program for assigned local car models.
• Realization of localization projects as part of localized commodities with agreed cost down targets.
• Development and updating of a market overview in Asia to ensure a detailed knowledge management for the BMW Group.
• Project Management of selected localization projects.
• Coordination with Engineering to release material.
• Reporting of projects status and escalation.
• Scouting and release of potential local suppliers.

Qualification

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Science or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in Engineering or chemical science.
  Leadership and project management experience.
• Detailed knowledge of purchasing processes.
• Material and Engineering knowledge.
• Business English fluent.
• Taking own Initiative.
• Analytical skills.
