As Assistant Manager Projects you are responsible to assure the Project Management part for Supplier Quality Global Sourcing and Local Content Activities in Asia related to parts quality and supplier quality management issues.

Key responsibilities

• Steering the Supplier evaluation within the supplier selection process with the tools.
• Supplier Evaluation and Risk Assessment with the focus on product and process quality, quality management system and manufacturing technologies and steer the documented in Quality management Parts Visit Report.
• Steering and monitoring of Quality management Parts for Global Sourcing and Local Content Projects according to BMW Quality Processes and requirements.
• Steering of the Quality management Parts preparation and release of Process Series, ramp up curve and Initial Sample Inspection Report-Procedure (PPAP).
• Steering the Product and Process Audits at suppliers, Supplier Requalifications.
• Steering of the relevant Capacity and Budget in Projectline.

Qualification

• Bachelor degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years BMW experience.
• Experience in a technical field at automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer or supplier in Project phase before SOP and series production.
• Experience in sub-supplier management.
• Experience in terms of Quality.
• Business English fluent, additional knowledge in Chinese or German desired.
• Excellent knowledge of Project Management Skills (Product and Process Development & Series Production).
• Knowledge of industrial production processes, sound knowledge of process engineering and Process Development & Series Production.
• High stress tolerance.
• Intercultural competence, successful acting in intercultural teams.
