Qualifications/Requirements:
• BS/BE or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Over 10 years of experience in Turbo-machinery/turbo machine design, Gas Turbine or Aircraft Engine preferred. Have solid understanding of Turbo-machinery fundamentals in both theory and practice.
• Have strong background in design and analysis of Casing components for turbo-machinery applications or similar applications. Have knowledge of the stress field and life limiting locations of the part and takes appropriate action
• Demonstrate experience in Turbo-machinery engine operation, engine integration, Secondary Air System, Site/field and testing knowledge.
• Understand the manufacturing processes utilized and could specify the appropriate datum set, tolerances and GD&T.
• Understand the material properties and part behavior under different engine operation conditions.
• Experience in using Pro/Engineer or other CAD system,
• Experience with TeamCenter a plus
• Have ability to coach and guide the team from technical perspective through tough technical challenges
• Have good verbal and written communications skills in English, including good presentation skills
• Have good people skills

• 6 Sigma experience a plus

Responsibility:
The primary responsibility will be to provide technical guidance to Integrated Product Team to develop gas turbine casing components. He/she will serve as an internal gate keeper to ensure the quality of technical aspects of the design solution. Responsibilities include participation in the following major component development phases; (i) conceptual development (ii) prototype development, manufacturing & testing (iii) basic design & analysis (iv) detailed design & analysis (v) manufacturing development & qualification (vi) engine testing & validation.
Other responsibilities will be to supervise and mentor junior design team members to grow in technical field.
