Conducts problem solving process, supplier evaluation and ensure the purchased parts meet the specification, continuous improvement process, reduce rework time, claim costs and financial loss from rejected claims.

Key responsibilities

• Communication with BMW Group for development and approval the production processes at suppliers to ensure that purchased parts meet the specification.
• Conduct the problem solving process for supplier related problems and monitor the open corrective action in the assembly.
• Generate the 0km Defects Report, monthly Supplier Evaluation and other specific data.
• Guarantee the defined parts quality status before the various build phases, during series production.
• Reducing rework time and claim costs by applying all necessary problem solving actions.
• Ensure usage of BMW QMT tools, improve processes, clarification on BMW Standards as needed.
• Responsible for Complaint Report writing.
• Trigger and lead Continuous Improvement Process for all technologies in order to ensure parts quality and reduce costs and financial loss from rejected claims.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field knowledge business administration and supply chain management.
• Comprehensive experience in parts quality management field.
• Experience in quality control, problem analysis, manufacturing process, cost analysis, supplier quality assurance field.
• Sound knowledge of the use of Quality Techniques and Failure Analysis / Risk Analysis methods.
• Detailed knowledge of Basic Statistical Process Control.
• QMS Requirements VDA 6.1; VDA 6.3;ISO 9001; TS16949.
• BMW Product knowledge.
• Skilful of 5 core tools, TS16949/ISO 9001.
• Familiar with automotive parts manufacturing process.
• Professional knowledge including quality control, problem analysis, manufacturing process, cost analysis, supplier quality assurance.
• Strong conflict solving skills.
• Familiar with MS Word/Excel/Project, SAP R3 and Quality tools/statistical process control.
• Good command of written and spoken English, German skills are a plus.
