General Manager (m/f) for young company in Eastern China

Job description:
You are responsible for all aspects oft the everyday business. Relationship to the public authorities as well as the administrative aspects of the company (Accounting, Human Resources, Controlling) are your main areas of responsibility. You supervise a team of young managers and their areas of responsibility, including sales, purchasing, production and quality management. As highest-ranking person on site, you report directly to the Germany-based Managing Director and are representative of the company towards customers, suppliers and public authorities. Your main challenges for the coming years will be the establishment of processes that guarantee high-quality production at compatible price level, development of an effective sales force and formation of a stable customer base.
Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced manager (m/f) with a background in business administration of a production company. You should have a track record in international business, preferably some years of working or studying in Europe or the USA. Both written and fluently spoken Mandarin and English are mandatory, German language skills would be a bonus. A hands-on attitude enables you to be a central figure within the company and actively involved in all important challenges of all areas. As a trustworthy and self-reliant person, you keep the Managing Director informed, but handle the challenges of everyday business on your own. Your employees regard you as a experienced manager who can be approached openly with all kinds of questions and will help them to learn from him and grow with their tasks and the company.
About the company:
Founded as subsidiary of a Germany-based group, we have now approximately 20 employees, and are expecting future growth. Our customers are large international and Chinese branded companies. The company is situated in the surroundings of Shanghai. Frequent contact with the German head office guarantees knowledge transfer and practical support in all areas.
