…. is one of the leading companies in Construction and Engineering Business for technology based clients who helps them to realize their global projects with specialisation in facility, project and process solutions. For the Management team in Shanghai/China we are searching for an experienced Director Engineering.
Your Profile:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in technical science or engineering related major
• Minimum 12 years experience with extensive technical knowledge and project experience in piping, ductwork and electrical routing design for all kind of industrial projects (semiconductor, pharmaceutical or chemical industry)
• Sound knowledge of project management techniques, practices and principles
• Good knowledge of financial control, financial reporting
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, strong communication skills
• Be willing and able to take challenges
• Possesses high level of integrity and strong sense of initiation
Your Responsibilities:
• Establishes and sets up regional standards and tools for project deliverables in the field of engineering group management and communicate requirements to all related parties
• Supervises the compliance of standards and formats of the deliverables within the team
• Performs technical checks and initiates required improvement measures within the project team and provides technical and managerial support to internal team and customers
• Direct project involvement, leading the project team and defining project standards
• Ensures accurate project status reporting through available information systems
• Ensures engineering services provided to other functional departments are appropriate and adequate, particularly relating to content, response times, volume, and quality
• Facilitates all related departmental processes and forms
• Participates in internal process of reviewing designs
• Manages and updates applicable scopes of work and guidelines applicable to the engineering facilities
• Responsible for coaching of team members and ensure results oriented cooperation.
